Our team have provided you some tips that may be useful for you in preparation for your stay with us.

Auckland Airport accommodation transfers

Many transport options are available in getting from Auckland Airport to Crowne Plaza Auckland and back again.

Taxis

Crowne Plaza Auckland works closely with Corporate Cabs ensuring that we have taxis available for you at all times of the day whether you are arriving in or departing from Auckland Airport. Taxis are conveniently located at the hotel entrance and we can arrange for a driver to meet you on your arrival to Auckland.

Auckland Airbus

The Airbus Express service operates 24 hours a day stopping at multiple stops between Auckland Airport and Downtown Auckland,  leaving approximately every 15 minutes during the day and 30 minutes during the evenings.

Getting around Auckland

Many of Auckland’s activities and attractions are within half an hour of the central city and public transport makes it easy and convenient to get around the central city.

The Link bus connects Auckland city fringe suburbs with the City Centre. There are also free environmentally-friendly, hybrid City Circuit buses. There are buses which go to all parts Auckland from the Britomart transport centre while trains run regularly to central, south and west Auckland suburbs from the Britomart rail station.

A number of regular passenger and vehicle ferries travel from Auckland City to various locations on the North Shore and Manukau, as well as many of Auckland’s islands, including Waiheke and Great Barrier in the Hauraki Gulf.

There are also plenty of Rental Car Companies that have vehicles available to suit your needs. Please talk to our Concierge who will be able to assist in organising a vehicle for you.

Slip, slop, slap and wrap!

Being sun smart in New Zealand is crucial. Our unique environment makes us particularly susceptible to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. New Zealand has clear skies and is closer to the sun in the summer. If you are travelling around Auckland and particularly when you are on the water, always make sure you slip, slop, slap and wrap – even if it’s cloudy!

Slip into some clothing that provides good protection, slop on some sunscreen, slap on a hat and wrap on some sunglasses.

If you are looking specifically for Auckland airport accommodation, our hotel is located only a short drive away and our concierge team are more than happy to help you with information on transfers to and from the airport.
